Paul has been working in the Sports industry for over twenty five years, along with his Wife Connie they set up G. Thornton Ireland limited in 1998. An Engineer by profession Paul plays an active role in the running of the company and brings his experience and expertise into each department within the company. A Father of three boys. His oldest son Joseph also works within the company as a contract supervisor.

When not running the company Paul enjoys Water activities, jet skiing, water skiing, and likes to take to the snow skiing during the winter months, pretty much anything with the word skiing in it.

Connie runs the day to day operations from the companies Head Office in Portumna and has been involved in the company since 1997. As a Company Director Connie plays an integral role in the smooth running of the business, she has seen the business grow over the past twelve years and is delighted to see her first born Joseph come into  the family business alongside Paul and herself.

Connie also enjoys Water activities and skiing during the winter.

Brendan is Thornton's third Company Director and is responsible for the return of tenders, quotations and procurement of material and equipment. Since joining the company in 2005 his contribution in the company IT and systems areas has enhanced the efficient delivery of client quotations, purchasing and speedy delivery of goods and materials to site.

Brendan is married with three girls and lives in Portumna. A keen GAA enthusiast, he equally enjoys Rugby, Soccer and playing golf. He also runs the local Beaver Scout Colony.

Dick is the Marketing and development Manager, he served in the Irish Army Engineer Corp as a sergeant, on leaving the Army went to work in the financial sector. He has been with Thornton‘s since 2003 and is for most clients their first point of contact with Thorntons.

Married with two girls he lives in Portumna. In his free time he is actively involved in the local scout troop, taking them hiking, kayaking, swimming and camping. He enjoys most sports but particularly Hurling and Rugby.

Lloyd is the company Contracts Manager and has been with the company since 2002. He is responsible for the building of our synthetic projects. Lloyd takes immense pride in his work and the team of lads in his charge, he is a valuable asset to the company and is regularly selected for individual praise by our clients.

He lives in Castleisland Co, Kerry where he spends lots of his free time out on the water on his boat. If not on the water he is into some form of high octane pursuit or another on land air or sea, quad racing, parachuting, skiing.

Annette has been with Thornton‘s since 2003 and is responsible for the companies accounts her contribution is considerable as her role sees her handling several accounts simultaneously.

Married with three boys Annette lives just outside of Portumna, when not at work Annette takes care of her three boys and enjoys the peace and quiet of country life.

Outside interests include walking and aerobics. She is a big supporter of Portumna and Galway hurling.
