Mayo All Star Footballer and Analyst on RTE's The Sunday Game
In early 2005 I was approached by Thornton's Specialist Sports Surface Engineers to inspect and evaluate their various field surfaces as used by many schools, colleges and clubs in the country.

Suffice to say I am delighted with the standards I encountered. The synthetic surfaces are an excellent replacement for the natural grass option with the added bonus of all year round usage.

The fencing and lighting options should be strongly considered when you sit down to prepare your specifications. They will complete the ideal package for any sports group with ambition to present the best possible facility for their players and members.

Training to perform at optimum levels is now a year round activity. Attempting to motivate players in the depths of an Irish winter is one of the most difficult tasks facing any ambitious coach. Choosing Thornton's to build a complete package will ensure this is a thing of the past and the facility will become the new centre point of your club's activity.

I have visited and trained players myself at many of the locations around the country and the reaction has been fantastic. Simply, this is the facility your club has been waiting for. Lower maintenance, increased availability and 24/7 accessibility means your club is geared up for the sporting challenges of the new millenium.

Because the people at Thornton's are professionals the jobs are well co-ordinated from start to finish and you can be assured of an excellent service on time and on budget. Their surfaces and supporting structures will meet your highest expectations.

I am pleased to recommend this technology and their service to schools, colleges, universities and sports clubs throughout Ireland who are interested in the best facilities for their players and members.
